I just saw the following article in the NY Times. Here's the thing that is not being discussed at ALL by the media, and that is Obama saying he would certainly consider investing in nuclear energy. Maybe all these young folk who are supporting him don't know about this, or don't care, but many of MY generation DO care about it! Moreover, it highlights a lie Obama told voters in Iowa that he PASSED legislation on this issue, when he had not.
I am just thankful that, FINALLY, someone is doing some investigative journalism. Hallelujah! Note that the following quote is included in this article, and compare this to Obama's attacks on, say, CLINTON, regarding contributions from lobbyists:
"Since 2003, executives and employees of Exelon, which is based in Illinois, have contributed at least $227,000 to Mr. Obama’s campaigns for the United States Senate and for president. Two top Exelon officials, Frank M. Clark, executive vice president, and John W. Rogers Jr., a director, are among his largest fund-raisers.
Another Obama donor, John W. Rowe, chairman of Exelon, is also chairman of the Nuclear Energy Institute, the nuclear power industry’s lobbying group, based in Washington. Exelon’s support for Mr. Obama far exceeds its support for any other presidential candidate. "

Tell me again how Obama is not a Washington politician??? Like I have said befoer, it seems the peole of IL might have a different understanding of Obama than is being portrayed by the national media...Anyway, check it out - good article.
