Sexist Obama dodges important question

How many times will Obama be allowed to get away with his sexism?? Apparently, every time. He wasn't called on this. He wasn't called on flipping Clinton off during a speech (SO classy, this guy), he wasn't called on offering to give a woman a kiss if she'd change her mind and vote for him (though if that were me, it might have changed my mind all right - from writing IN Hillary to voting for MCCAIN!). THIS is the guy the DNP is pushing down our throats. This guy. The same one who grins broadly when his crowd boos the MENTION of Clinton's name. Oh, yeah. He is such a class act. NOT!!! And such a unifier!! Again, NOT! He has done more to split this party, and to use racially loaded attacks and implications, than I have seen in ages. And the boys keep piling on, day after day, more and more attacks on Clinton. No doubt, this is all a smokescreen because they KNOW Obama is the weaker candidate. Hence trotting out Edwards for an endorsement after the LANDSLIDE win by Clinton in WVA, just days after he said he would not be endorsing anyone. Since Clinton clearly has the workers on her side, and has a health care plan very similar to Edwards', it is quite clear that he was all talk, no commitment. Otherwise, how in the WORLD could he endorse Obama, who cannot even discuss worker's rights while in a FACTORY?!?! Wow. Edwards has lost my respect, that's for sure. All talk, no action. Or in this case, all talk, and the WRONG action just to prop up the weaker candidate after his landslide SHELLACKING. Please.

I hope Clinton continues on. I hope that another shellacking in KY will show the SDs they are backing the wrong horse in this race by moving to Obama's camp. I really hope SOMEONE will start calling Obama on his sexist comments. In the meantime, he is strengthening MY resolve to never vote for him, and to leave the DNP. Keep it up - let's see how many women are left as the base of the DNC after this election.

Yeah..Edwards really stabbed Hillary in the back, and this after he just said a couple of weeks ago that he would wait to endorse anyone until after the nomination. He gave the impression that he would work for whoever won. All that talk about wanting universal health care for all Americans was nothing but a sham. I should have known, though. You saw him being part of the pile on against Hillary in the Tim Russert debate. He and Obama double teamed her throughout the whole debate. That's when I lost all respect for him, this is just the cherry on the top of the cake.

The good ol' boys club wins again.

I'm hoping that NARAL enorsement backfires on Obama. Emily's List is really pissed and if you go to the NARAL site, they have a lot of very angry comments there. I would like to see this unite women for Hillary. Unfortunately, those women who back Obama have their heads up their vagina's.

LOL - true enough abt the women who back Obama!

And NARAL - what the HELL were they thinking??? Clinton has done SO much for women on this issue. Obama?? Not so much. I am pissed off at them, too, and sent them a comment yesterday. There's ANOTHER group not getting any more money from me!

I am REALLY disappointed in Edwards. What a typicl, hypocritical, pol. I saw on TalkLeft that Obama thanked Elizabeth, too, as an implication that she, TOO, was endorsing him, even though she did not make the trip. She has publicaly commended Clinton on the health care plan - I hope she comes out and makes clear that this was ALL John, not her.

And yes - I agree completely that this is the Old Boys Club making itself known loud and clear. That's why when the DCCC called this morning, I told them no way in HELL was I going to seupport an organization that refused to speak out on such blatant misogyny and sexism!

I thought things were going to get better in this country after Bush. How depressing to discover how wrong I was...

Hi Amy- Hope your mouth is feeling ok after the surgery.

Just a heads up to you (one of my favorite new bloggers), I just closed down my blog. After working for a year (tomorrow would have been the first anniversary of the start of my blog), I can't stand to watch it sink like this. I was told in the comment section by another blogger---one who used to be a loyal regular on my blog, that I have become "bitter" and "vitriolic" and that "other bloggers" have told him the same thing about me. That hurt...to say the least.

Regardless of how I feel about my chosen candidate, I am a human being first, with feelings.

Anyway...thought I should give you the reason why I closed down. I couldn't write it on my blog...too painful for me. I wasn't even sure if I should put up a closing post, just thought about deleting it, but there are some out there who I felt deserve to at least know that the blog was closed. I don't know...maybe it doesn't make a difference one way or another. Another reason I didn't delete it, I didn't want anyone else picking up my blog name. It was mine, created by me...I don't want anyone else using it. I know that sounds stupid, but that blog was a big part of who I am.

Anyway...I'll keep praying for Hillary to succeed in her efforts to win the nomination. That's all I could do for now.

Feel better, kiddo. Take care of those empty spots where the wisdom teeth were! Remember, NO peanuts or popcorn for 6 weeks!

Hey, ME -

Wow, I am really sorry to hear that. I cannot stand what is happening in this election cycle - so much anger and vitriol being spewed, almost indiscriminately, it seems...

And I am REALLY sorry that some was directed at you. I think people have lost sight of the fact that there ARE living, breathing human beings on the other side of these words...

I completely understand your wanting to shut down, though I worry abt these people being able to silence some of the few voices supporting Clinton. Is there an alternative way of dealing with these people? Like not allowing anyone to comment who isn't registered, or something? Just a thought. I just hate that you'll be leaving when I was getting to know you! These people make me nuts...

Thanks for the care and concern abt my mouth - it should be fine in a few days (at least that's my plan!!).

Thanks for the heads up, friend. I know it was a hard decision, and if you reconsider, please let me know. Take care...

Amy- I thought about shutting down the comments, but when I got into blogging it was because I enjoyed talking to people and the camaraderie. Didn't know they would turn on me like a pack of dogs.

If for some reason I start up a new blog, I'll let you know. If I do that, I'm only going to inform a few people that stuck with me and network from there. To be honest,though...it will take some time to get over this. I feel like I just lost my pet dog or something....this blog meant so much to me. I thought it was showing signs of being successful...lots of visits every day, sometimes over 250 a day. I don't think that's bad for a blog that is barely a year old.

Oh well....

I'll still come around here, though. I'll probably still do some co-writing on the other blog, All That Is. I'm not sure if she wants me to continue over there or not. It's all religious stuff on my part, and that doesn't attract much attention. I don't know...not sure what to do.

Have to run...I have a new life to get started! Cleaning, cooking, and flowers....my family will be thrilled! Mom is back!

I hear ya, ME - and I totally appreciate the sense of personal loss. It is something to which you gave birth, and enjoyed watching it flourish. I am just sad that people did not continue to show respect for you even in disagreement - it IS possible to do that, after all. Sheesh. I am just really sorry.

And sorry for the "can we fix this?" part - I just know I will MISS reading your blog, and know how valuable your voice is on the blogosphere. So, that's all - just so sorry to see you go! And just bumming that there seem to be so few safe places for people like us to go, you know?

As I have said before, you are ALWAYS welcome here, and always welcome to post here, if you wish.

Your family is lucky to have you!!

I left a note up with my last post. Should have done that sooner...it was bad manners on my part. Stop by if you like, the message is for you and all my blogger friends.

Hang in there, friend!
