Can There Be Enough On Blagojevich?

Um, no - no there can't! This whole corruption issue is a mighty big one, for Illinois, the country, and the PEBO. The following is a pretty good video at encapsulating some of the players involved. I might add, the maker of this video (and the others following) has a point I had not even noticed - hardly ANYONE mentions that Blagojevich is a Democrat. Interesting that. Anyhoo - here is the first video:

And then there is this one about Obama and Blagojevich (which stands on its own, regardless of m1media's editorial comment):

Funny - the media hasn't been mentioning THAT a whole lot - that Obama endorsed Blagojevich TWICE. TWICE. Are we really supposed to believe that, out of the clear blue sky, after all these years, the Governor is JUST now becoming corrupt?? Hahahahaha!!!

This one is a two-fer: Blagojevich AND Jesse Jackson, Jr., that arrogant, sexist, liar:

And just for fun, this one, which has Campbell Brown near the beginning - after all of the photos of Obama and Blagojevich together (Ahem) - but then Charleston Son, Stephen Colbert:

So I was wrong - Lincoln isn't rolling over in his grave - Colbert has him!

The timing of all of this is no accident, of that I am sure. And I do have to wonder why, when Blagojevich KNEW he was under investigation, he continued to use his personal phone? Did he really think he was above reproach, or was he looking to take someone else down with him? Just wondering...

If Blagojevich wants to take down Obama, all he has to do is...talk to Fitzgerald. If there's anyone who knows where the Chicago skeletons are buried, it's Blagojevich.

Of course, Fitzgerald has to know that... It might have been an unintentional slip-up on his part to refer to a "crime spree", whereas the criminal complaint really focuses on only a single event--the selling of Obama's Senate seat. I surmise prosecuting "the spree" and its perpetators is his ultimate objective, arresting Blagojevich was only his first move.

Excellent point, Mike J. It will be interesting indeed to see how this plays out, and who gets caught up in it.

Then again, there has been frustration voiced abt Fitz before - he essentially let Rove off the hook with the Valerie Plame issue, and that was a BIG one. People have been waiting to see what was going to happen with Rezko and Obama, as well as Blago, but so far, NOTHING has come of that even though there is ample evidence PRE-conviction that something was going on with the whole house thing (now a bank employee has come out saying the appraisal was fixed). Yet, there has been blessed little on that, from either Fitz or the MSM 9no surprise on the latter).

Anyway, it does seem to me that Blago must have something up his sleeve - why else would someone who KNEW he was under federal investigation use HIS OWN PHONE to have these kinds of conversations?? Makes no sense otherwise...

Fitzgerald bagged only Scooter largely because Scooter likely knew he could count if not on pardon (that might still happen...) then at least on a commutation (which he got, in the end), so the Fitz's "talk to us or go to jail forever" leverage was largely nullified. But Bush did only it at the cost of expending scarce political capital.

Now, is Obama prepared to do the same on behalf of a badly compromised Blagojevich? Because if that's what Blagojevich wants as a price for keeping his mouth shut (and at this stage keeping his mouth shut could easily land him in jail for a long time)...

Well, that's true that Scooter most likely knew he would get bailed out one way or the other, but he was also most likely the Fall Guy for that whole fiasco.

Good point abt Blago. I have no doubt he will sing long and loud. Of course, I think Rezko has been, too, but amazing how that has resulted in not a lot, at least so far.

Hey, Mike - what do yo umake of all of the stuff around Obama's birth certificate and/or duel citizenship? Just curious - some people thing this has effectively sidetracked that discussion...
