More DNC Thuggery

I received the following action from ClintonDems:

Dear Clinton Dem,

As you may be aware, there are a few brave Clinton delegates out there that refuse to rally around the party due -- primarily to Obama's inexperience and partially due to the obnoxious way he and his people have treated Hillary and her supporters.

There has been a concerted effort to flip every Clinton delegate, pledged or otherwise, to Obama to remove the possibility of Obama being upstaged at the convention. You see, no one is the nominee at the convention until one of the candidates receives the magic number of delegates. That is why Obama is strong-arming anyone that continues to stick with Hillary.

Debra Bartoshevich is a Wisconson delegate for Hillary that declared she would vote for Hillary at the convention, but McCain in November because Obama lacks the qualifications to become President.

You may know that the Democratic Party of Wisconson is now trying to strip her delegate status.

Please help Debra by writing to the Democratic Party Chair and letting them know how you feel about punishing someone that supports Hillary Clinton:

WE BELIEVE IN HILLARY!!!

The Wisconsin DNC is telling Debra she will lose her delegate status. She wants to fight to keep it so she can vote for Hillary at the convention, so please e-mail the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. She stands with Hillary, let's stand with her!

Keep Fighting!

My email to Howard Dean:

Dear Dr. Dean:

I am writing regarding the pressure being applied to Superdelegates who support Clinton, and Ms. Debra Bartoshevich in particular. Ms. Bartoshevich has been the recepient of a tremendous amount of hostility as a result of her continued commitment to Senator Clinton, the PEOPLE'S choice. That is UNACCEPTABLE, Dr. Dean.

It is simply shocking that the DNC has become a party of THUGS determined to eradicate any level of true discourse or even dissent. Under your leadership, Dr. Dean, the DNC has become unrecognizable to those of us who have been lifelong members - until now. Still, you need to show some leadership, and stop the attacks on Clinton Superdelegates and delegates.

Along those lines, former Clinton Superdelegates are ALSO being threatened by party members/insiders. Rep. John Lewis now has two challengers because he USED to support Clinton. That is just staggering - are Democrats now supposed to march in brownshirt lockstep?? I think not - that is unAmerican - truly.

Enough is enough, Dr. Dean. You and the DNC leadership have already gamed this election to give it to your nominee rather than allowing the PEOPLE to determine the nominee. At the very least, you could assert that Superdelegates not be treated with blatant hostility for supporting the best qualified candidate all the way through the Convention.

And on that note, if YOU were allowed to be on the first ballott with your paltry 167.5 delegates, how in the WORLD can you justify NOT having Hillary Clinton on the ballott?? Of course, had you not stolen votes and delegates from her in MI, or taken away her delegates from FL, she would have the majority of delegates anyway. Given that she has vastly more than you ever did, and vastly more than people like Ted Kennedy did, who took his fight all the way to the Convention floor, to only present one candidate is how fascist governments operate. Put her name on the ballott - she deserves to be there, and she EARNED it, unlike Obama.

Stop the hostile treatment already. Put Clinton on the ballott. And then, for the sake of the Party and the nation, RESIGN YOUR POSITION!

Sincerely,
The Rev. Amy
