Happy 2010, Friends

Happy New Year, everyone!

Let us hope, and pray, that this year is better than the last. Let is hope that the economy rebounds, that those who are unemployed have work, that those who are without food are fed, that our Congress begins to listen to us, that those who defend and protect are nation are safe, that all of our loved ones are well, and that healing occurs for hearts, for health, for the planet.

And what are some of your hopes and prayers for the New Year?

I hope I don't go to hell for cussing out Obama. :-)

In all seriousness- I'm hoping that we can get our soldiers home from Iraq and Afghanistan. I hope we are not subjected to another terrorist attack and if so...let it be a thwarted one. I hope that our economy rebounds and the thugs on Capitol Hill are voted out so they can't line their pockets and the pockets of their lobbyist friends with our hard earned money.

Most of all, I hope I can live up to my promise to God to be strong in my faith and to live my life's journey in a way that will be pleasing to Him.

Happy New Year to you and yours, Rev. Amy!

Amen, and amen, Sister Nunly. You said it!

And hey - I can't really speak for God, but I imagine God appreciates righteous indignation toward those who care so little for the people they have sworn to represent, and toward the Constitution they swore to uphold. So, I think you're good there!! :-)

I hope your holidays have been good - I know they aren't over yet, not until 1/6! Anyway, hope you have enjoyed your time with your family!
