Obama Lectures Egypt On "Free And Fair Elections"?

Is he for real? It isn't enough that he is insisting upon the overthrow of Egypt's leader, but oh-my-gosh, where does HE come off lecturing ANYONE about how they should "listen to their people" (Um, hello? Obamacare?), and what kinds of elections they should have.

Don't take my word for it - here's the man himself blathering on - AGAIN - about Egypt:

Oh, where to begin, where to begin? How about with Barack Obama getting everyone thrown off the ballot for his first run for the IL Senate in 1996, including his mentor, Alice Palmer, so he could run unopposed? You'll love this bit from the Chicago Tribune about Obama's first run:
Fresh from his work as a civil rights lawyer and head of a voter registration project that expanded access to the ballot box, Obama launched his first campaign for the Illinois Senate saying he wanted to empower disenfranchised citizens.

But in that initial bid for political office, Obama quickly mastered the bare-knuckle arts of Chicago electoral politics. His overwhelming legal onslaught signaled his impatience to gain office, even if that meant elbowing aside an elder stateswoman like Palmer.

A close examination of Obama's first campaign clouds the image he has cultivated throughout his political career: The man now running for president on a message of giving a voice to the voiceless first entered public office not by leveling the playing field, but by clearing it.

[...]

"Why say you're for a new tomorrow, then do old-style Chicago politics to remove legitimate candidates?" Askia said. "He talks about honor and democracy, but what honor is there in getting rid of every other candidate so you can run scot-free? Why not let the people decide?" [snip] (Click here to read the rest.)

"Honor" is not exactly a word I would associate with Barack Obama, like, ever.

How about this - fast forward to 2008 and the Primaries - for "fair and free" elections, Mr. President:

Just for starters, there, Obama. You are the last person on the face of the planet who should be lecturing ANYONE on elections. There are so, so many more examples of the ways in which Obama, his campaign, and the DNC subverted a "free and fair election" in the Primaries, and in the Election (New Black Panthers, anyone?).

You know I could go on about this, and list example after example, but I would rather you take this one. Feel free to share your favorite example of how Obama has subverted the process, or how he is inserting himself in the overthrow of one of our allies, or forcing his policies down our throats no matter what we say. Have at it!

Or anything else that is on your mind. Consider this an Open Thread.

Hi Rev Amy,

O/T - Just finished reading this article at NQ "Questions About Obama and The Muslim Brotherhood Lead To More Questions **UPDATED** »" The power and strength of this piece went beyond your usual excellence, into the realm of STELLEAR for two reasons:

1. Not only well researched, but written with complete clarity. Perhaps a Pulitzer in your future???

2. The pain/betrayal you are feeling for your long and well reasoned support of Hillary?? bleed right through the screnn and into my heart.

Like you I became a staunch supporter of Hillary. Emotive distance, hard won for me, made me think that their is a plausable reason for her seemingly contradictory statements/actions.

A few months ago she clearly stated her plan to resign in 2011. However the absolute mess that Obama, Meanshell and Valeri Jarret, and Chciago minions, are making of our country, and now spreading globly are making our gal feel forced to stay on. She knows that she is the only ADULT on staff with the wisdom, and knowledge to salvage anything and I am sure it is extremely painful for her.

Further, I do not believe that Hillary, nor many Americans for that fact, are aware of exactly what Sharia Law specifically states. She, and most other Americans she only what they most likely think are aberrations caused by twisted individuals.

It took me a while to come to terms with this. Then I found a wonderful website that clearly states the specific strictures of Sharia Law. It is worse, much worse as FACT, then the individual instances spelled out one at a time.

The Website, "Westernfront America" derives its name from the WWII term "Western Front" used to describe the boundaries of the "good" from the West, and "Evils" to the East of the line. The contents are described by American Lawyers who have actually read and studied Sharia Law.

The link to the Website is:

http://westernfrontamerica.com/2010/06/01/sharia-law-nonmuslims-chapter-2/

This lead-in article describes a general overview thus:

"You probably think that the Koran is the bible of Islam. Not true. The bible of Islam is the Koran, the Sira and the Hadith. These three texts can be called the Trilogy."

"The Koran is a small part, only 14% of the total words, of the doctrine that is Islam. The text devoted to the Sunna is 86% of the total textual doctrine of Islam. Islam is 14% Allah and 86% Mohammed."

"Sharia is nothing more than a condensation and extrapolation of the Koran and the Sunna. Therefore, it is impossible to understand the Sharia without some understanding about the doctrine found in the Koran, Hadith and the Sira."

At the end of each article are two sections that lead to further articles and FACTS: "You Might Also Like" and Related Articles - Most of these are delineated by Facebook-Like" pictures you can click on to gain further insight and knowledge.

Lastly, what is with the White on Black of your website? Why not let your usual warm and expansive light show clearly and have a Black on White instead???

Lastly a sincere thank you for all you do to enlighten and inform all of us who follow you. God bless.

Nellie, thank you for your tremendous compliment. I am honored, and humbled, by your support of my writing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I appreciate, too, your very good comment, and the information on Sharia Law. You hit the nail on the head when you said most people think that the Koran is the sole source of inspiration for Muslims, and then breaking down what the Trilogy is. That is a great resource, as is the link you provided. Thank you for taking the time to do so.

I hear you abt Hillary. Along those lines did you see that John Kerry (blech) is looking to get that spot? Hence why he (along with McCain - no telling what Obama promised HIM in their one-on-one) pushed for that non-binding resolution demanding Mubarak step down.

I cannot stand John Kerry - my vote for him was the very last time I voted Straight Ticket. Never again will I vote for someone like that just because of the letter after his/her name.

Anyway, I do hear you abt Clinton. It is just so disturbing to me to see her carry Obama's water, and throw old friends like Suzanne Mubarak under the bus. It is just sad. Honestly, I had never felt so strongly abt a candidate in my life as I did abt her. And now, well, the DNC stole our best chance to have our best president in decades.

Anyway, thank you for taking the time to come by and let me know abt the source on Sharia Law. I think most people haven't the foggiest how bad it really is, or how widespread. If the Muslim Brotherhood (and Obama) get their way, I think more people will see, but it will be too late by then...

Thanks, Nellie!

Rev Amy,

Thanks so much for taking time to answer me. And I love how you changed your blog colors. Much more readable and so more you and the glow that you emanate.

Quick questions - What non-binding resolution demanding Mubarak step down? When did this pass? Who wrote the thing? What is title do I can see who voted for it?

Am pleased you liked the link. Being that it is comparable to other laws the left and Idiots who choose to remain so, cannot argue that it is discriminatory or not PC or just one crazed individual. It is like writing about what the requirements are to register a car, get a drivers license or pay taxes. All sort of immutable until the LAW is re-written, which of course will not happen.

You may not remember, but many years ago (20? 25?)you came to Concord, NH. My life was in tatters and friends highly recommended you. We all sat at a rectangular table in what was a restaurant? (Memory fails on location now). Anyway, just your presence and the way you spoke gave off a feeling of calm, warmth and love. Just wanted you to know that the same inner light imbues all your responses. It is like getting a warm caring hug, no matter the subject.

Just a thought on getting word out and giving Media a wake-up call. If you write articles using that link, then we will send it to selected persons at FOX - Kristen Powers, Greta Von Sustren, Hannity and...? I would include Glen Beck as he actually does excellent research. However, he is so emotive, although I have met engineers who actually watch Beck and appreciate his charts and diagrams. What is your opinion?

This whole Mid-East situation and the royal backstabbing Obama and Co gave Britain has me ready to call members of Cpngress hourly about impeachment.

RE: McCain and Kerry - who are close friends so how Machavelian for the WH to pit them against each other. Kerry of course realizes he has no chance to get re-elected. He has been a lousy Senator and NEVER responds to queries and will only show if the press will be there. So him trying to claw his way into Hillary's seat is no surprise.

My heartfelt thanks to you for bringing your inner light and comfort to so many of us.

And please do let me know what you think.

Hey, Nellie -

So glad you like the blog change! Yes, I did it just for you. :-) I like it better, too, especially the birds flying along...

I have met you? For real? Wow, that is cool! Let's see - it is 20 - 25 yrs ago I was probably living in Boston. I am so touched that you remember meeting me, and had/have such a favorable impression. That means so much to me. I admit, I would need a little more on which to go (is "Nellie" your real name?), but that is totally awesome that we had a chance to meet. And if I was a help to you at all, I am so very glad...

How did you find me here, if I may ask?

Abt Kerry - if people in MA are finally getting fed up with him (and what TOOK them so long), that would certainly explain his pushing for Hillary's spot. There was a Boston Globe article the other day abt how he was. "for once," looking artful. Well, golly gee - after being in the Senate as long as he has, that he finally has an "artful" moment seems long overdue. Here's the link for that: http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2011/02/04/kerrys_sharp_eye_on_the_secretary_spot/

Ah, yes - the Kerry/McCain resolution: http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2011/02/kerry-mccain_re.html
It passed in the Senate, though it is non-binding. It just makes me shake my head. Does no one else remember how upset people were, myself included, over "regime change" in Iraq? The differences between Hussein and Mubarak are like night and day, yet everyone is jumping on this bandwagon with both feet. Just ridiculous.

I am happy to use that link to spread the word. The article I used for the parts of the post at NQ up now (and up here tomorrow) is good, too, though it is more of a "Top Ten Reasons Why Sharia Law Is Bad."

It just amazes me that people are so willing to dismiss the impact of Sharia Law as if it isn't really that bad. It IS that bad. No doubt abt it.

Anyway - yes, I expect I will be writing more abt this issue as what is going on in Egypt continues to be unsettled (thanks in no small part to our wanting to shove out their leader).

Thank you for writing, Nellie. I look forward to our continued conversations, and a jog to my memory of our time in Concord.

Take care.

No - my real name is NOT Nellie. My two grandsons are in college on grants, scholarships. So I just picked my paternal grandmothers name as a pseudonym. The name started with writing about Obama's mansion in Chicago after Susan HU strongly twisted my arm. So I needed a name.

You came up to Concord NH. IN my memories there were about 6-9 of sitting at one of those quick set up rectangular tables. I facing the table you sat on the right side, I was up one or two people on the left. The topic fades from memory, but your warmth and light have remained.

You can email me at nellie_s1@verizon.net

From there I will send my real name and email Deal?

And your kindness in taking your valuable time to respond is amazing. I feel very fortunate to have had this time. Bless you.

Gotcha. And yes, sadly, having to use pseudonyms is still important to this day, especially with another election ratcheting up.

It is truly my pleasure, Nellie. I am glad you have remembered me so fondly - that it truly a gift.

I'll shoot you an email soon so you can fill me in a bit more. Take care.
