That's the...I hear ya, SF - you did well! :-)

That's the thing - abt the "saved" jobs - now a university in CA is saying the jobs the Feds counted were never in jeopardy in the FIRST place. They are just padding their numbers wherever they can. It is pathetic.

There was a really good discussion abt this on America's Newsroom this morning, but they take a while to get their videos up, and I had to go to an app't. Anyway - they take a more critical look at these numbers compared to ABC's "Oh, gee - wonder what happened??"

What the hell has happened to journalism?!?!?!

Anywho - good effort listening to Boo! :-DRabble Rouser Reverend Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14965609706204555067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-208401365281331903.post-61223035519777185492009-11-17T12:49:34.417-05:002009-11-17T12:49:34.417-05:00Rev, I just couldn't get past the first 10 sec...Rev, I just couldn't get past the first 10 seconds of Boo and his shout-outs. I wanted to, really I did, but...

Love that ABC questioned the numbers, but I do so long for the days when a reporter would actually investigate what they were told. Human error? Well gosh, maybe we should investigate and uncover the truth!

And wouldn't you think that before the administration put UP those numbers, they'd verify them? Nah, I guess not. Just toss under the bus the people who DID put up the numbers, right? It's all THEIR fault.

I do have one question, though. What exactly is a "saved" job? Is there a place on the reports that asks, "how many people were you going to fire but didn't?"

On a completely different note, how nice would it have been for "philanthropist" Bill Gates to have used some of his billions of dollars to help save even a few of the 5800 jobs at Microsoft, the company that made him one of the richest men in the world? Just sayin'.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
